0 Miles (rest day #1)
Today the group went on a van tour in the Black Hills. We first stopped at a bike shop so people could get a few parts and then we drove to Custer State Park. At one point a herd of buffalo crossed the road. We could see a number of calves in the herd.
Then we stopped in the town of Custer and Nancy treated us to lunch at the New Sage Restaurant.
We briefly stopped at Crazy Horse monument but the guy at the entrance window wanted to charge us whopping $72 to get in so we gave that a big PASS.
Finally we went to Mt. Rushmore and stayed there about an hour and a half before heading back to the hotel.
In the evening we walked downtown and decided to have dinner at the Firehouse Brewery. Ed, Kim, Sharon, Tom and I sampled a number of craft beer. The beer and dinner were excellent. We stayed there for a couple of hours and had a great time.
