61 miles
We were lucky to have wonderful weather today. The high was about 72 degrees. Ken said that it is usually much hotter this time of year.
We left the Ursuline Center around 8 :00 a.m. and went on a lot of side streets to get out of Great Falls.
We headed east, south east past Malstrom Air force Base on Hwy 87. This is prairie country and there was little wind today so we lucked out.

Tim set up a snack stop in Belt at a rest area. Then we traveled a little farther to Raynesford, the site of the first nuclear war head which is still active. Greg and Susie tried to take a picture of the site but they were warned not to do so.

Lunch stop was at Geyser where I had cheese sticks and a ham sandwich. We got into Standford around 2:00 p.m. and found out that there was a problem with the reservations, i.e, there weren't enough rooms for our group. We had only three rooms available but everyone in the group was cooperative and we teamed up in rooms and tents.
Ken and Nancy treated us to dinner at a cafe in Standford.
