55 miles
After we had breakfast at the New Life Church in Choteau we loaded up the truck and noticed it was raining. We all put on rain gear and started riding south around 8 a.m.

It rained for about 50 minutes till we got near the town of Fairfield. I was riding in back of Greg and Susan but they stopped for coffee in Fairfield and Ed pulled up.
Ed and I rode together from Fairfield.

Pleasant ride with few cars
We dropped in elevation after Fairfield so it was an easier ride toward Great Falls.
The lunch stop was right before we got near I 15 in Vaughn. After lunch Ed and I took a frontage road to north Great Falls.
We crossed the Missouri River and noticed the water level high because of the recent rains.

We arrived at our home for two nights-the Ursuline Center in Great Falls. Ed and I went for a walk looking for coffee and just as we entered a store it started to pour heavily. We saw Ted and Ken in Target so we caught a ride back to Ursuline in Ken's Excursion. During dinner we talked with an interesting guy named George, originally from France and Chile but he has traveled all over the world.

That was one quiet convent.
