68 miles
Today was our last big ride in Wisconsin. We left the Ramada in Fond Du Lac around 7 :30 a.m. and worked our way out of town. We hit a construction zone just north of town where, this time we were forced to turn around and make a detour to get on Hwy 151. One construction worker actually told us we could not go through the regular road as a bridge was out and directed us to go on a different route. We jumped onto a lot of county roads that were strangely named by letters, double letters and sometimes when they run out, triple letters.

Most of these lettered roads, however were great to ride on. There was little traffic and we lucked out again by having cloudy weather (shady) with a tailwind.

When we got to Elkart Lake we were advised to stop at a coffee shop to get a cup of coffee and take a break. Blaine and Ziva were already there and we also had lunch by the truck in the city park.
After lunch Susan, Dick, Tom and I rode on and got to County road MM. We really enjoyed this road because it had all the right conditions: smooth, downhill and a tailwind. We took it all the way to Lake Michigan and then turned north on LS (Lake Shore) road.
At our meeting last night Nancy told us not to forget to stop at the Cedar Crest dairy bar in Manitowac before going to our home for the night, the United Church in Manitowac. The whole group stopped at the Cedar Crest and had huge ice cream cones before riding through town. The church was about 3 miles north of downtown.
After settling down at the church I played table tennis with Blaine and then some of us worked on blogs in the lobby.
